Maria Pombo Peterson
Red Light Therapy Specialist
Maria Pombo Peterson is a Flagstaff native with a background in auto finance and consulting. Maria began seeking alternative wellness treatments in 2017 after being diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis; an autoimmune form of arthritis and chronic inflammatory disease. As symptoms began to affect her daily life, her doctor recommended she seek Red Light Therapy to help combat inflammation and manage the pain. Living in Dallas at the time, research led her to The Sculpt Pod; a standalone bed with a holistic approach to accelerating the body’s natural healing process through Red Light Therapy, Infrared Heat, and Massaging Vibration. She found her symptoms decreasing with each session and made it a routine treatment for years to follow.
Upon moving back to her home state of Arizona (without a Sculpt Pod location), she purchased a pod with the intention of keeping it in her home. After spreading the word to friends and family, she decided to open a studio where she could provide healing for others. The BodPod was founded in January 2022 and has since grown to two pods and an incredible client base. Now part of the Center for Pain and Supportive Care, the benefits of the pod go hand in hand with the surrounding businesses.
Red Light Therapy Specialist
Leah Scarsone is a proud Arizona native with a background in customer relations and marketing. As an avid boxer with a plant-based lifestyle and deep-rooted passion for health and fitness, she knew she’d thrive best in an industry catered toward her interests. When Maria suddenly appeared in her life, it was meant to be from the first hug. The two of them combined forces and brought The BodPod to life. As the company’s Wellness Manager, Leah dedicates each day to growing the business, building relationships with clients, and preaching the technology and benefits of The Sculpt Pod Pro. In her opinion, there is no greater feeling than being able to be a part of someone’s wellness journey and witness positive changes day in and day out.
